Region Sports Update

The Lake Central Indians are on FIRE so far this season with a record of (7-0) and are major contenders for the Duneland Athletic Conference title. Their most recent win was on December 19 when they traveled to Munster and got a three point victory.

One team to watch out for in the Duneland Athletic Conference is the La Porte Slicers. The Slicers are currently sitting at (5-3) on the season with two of their three losses coming in the first two games of the season in which they played (8-0) Fishers High School and (7-2) South Bend Riley.

The Slicers currently have three players averaging double-figures

La Porte also tends to get hot at the right time, as they average around 30 points in the second-half of games this season. Look for the Slicers to be a sneaky-good and competitive team going forward.

The Slicers next game is against the (1-5) Lowell Red Devils on December 27.

Next Week in Sports
