The Valparaiso Vikings traveled to Mishawaka tonight to take on the Penn Kingsmen in a non-conference Girls Basketball game. The Kingsmen came out strong putting up 19 points to the Vikings’ 3 in the first quarter.
The Kingsmen held the lead going into the half with a score of 39-32.
The second half saw Valparaiso go on a hot streak and score 29 points. With 0.1 seconds left on the clock, #53 Chyanne Brown of Valparaiso was fouled and got 3 free throws. She scored 2 of them, which tied the game 61-61, sending it into overtime.
The Kingsmen pulled ahead in overtime and won the game with a final score of 72 to 61.
