BOYS BASEBALL IHSAA SECTIONAL Mishawaka VS. La Porte 2023

The La Porte Slicers won their 37th baseball Sectional Championship on Monday evening, defeating the Mishawaka Cavemen 3-0, behind a 4-hit complete game shutout by starter RJ Anglin.

Andrew Catron broke a 0-0 deadlock in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run single. A wild pitch then added insurance for Anglin, who completed his shutout after working through a 2-out jam in the seventh. The win moves the Slicers’ season record to 20-9 as they head to Regionals.
