Event Information
You’re invited to enjoy a full day of fun for the whole family along the shore of beautiful Fish Lake. The 8th annual Lions Paws for Support Paddlefest takes place Saturday July 22nd from 9:00 – 4:00 central time at the Fish Lake Conservation Club, 7873 E State Hwy 4 Walkerton, IN 46371.
Hosted by the Mill Creek Community Lions Club, Paddlefest is the annual fundraising event for the project, Lions Paws for Support. Proceeds sponsor the adoption of dogs and cats from local shelters and rescues for some of our most important citizens of the community – Veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
Festival entry is free for all ages, and you’re encouraged to bring your chairs or picnic blanket to kick back and take in all the fun. Enjoy music by Ryan Panos, Chris Meadows and DJ Randy throughout the day. Aim for the bullseye with Bad Axe Billy’s axe throwing. Keep the kids entertained with two bounce houses, games, and prizes from JT Jumpers. Face painting will also be available. Shop the local vendors and artisan booths to find some unique goods and gifts. Snag some 50/50 raffle tickets and put your bids in at the silent auction for your chances to go home a winner, presented by the Lions club.
The South Bend Veteran Center and Operation Charlie Bravo will have booths with information and merchandise available for purchase. The Laporte County Small Animal Shelter and Operation TFA will have details on how you can help animals in need, and applications for adoptions.
Enjoy a delicious variety of food and drinks from our featured vendors: Jimbo’s Ribeye Express, Hot Rod Snow Cones, Door Village Lions, Pine Lake Nutrition, Fish Lake Conservation Club and Biggby Coffee. Guests 21 and over can quench their thirst with adult beverages at the beer garden sponsored by Twisted Tiki Sports Bar & Pizzeria, and enjoy free samples at the Indiana Whiskey Company tent.
The Fish Lake branch of the LaPorte County Library is just a block away and is offering a bubble-tastic time with a foam party for all ages from 10:00-12:00 in their outdoor educational space.
