UnitedHealthcare let customers know, ‘You Got a Friend in Me.’ The Northwest Indiana division of the health insurance company invited some of their customers to Portage IMAX Thursday evening. Guests of all ages watched a film that everyone can love: Toy Story 4. Nestled in red velvet seats with snacks in hand, the group of movie-goers enjoyed the extra space of a private showing and no previews. In addition, tickets, popcorn, and a drink were on UnitedHealthcare.
Guests were greeted with friendly smiles from the UnitedHealthcare team. One such guest was Darla Winland, Director of Human Resources for Albanese Confectionery Group in Merrillville. Winland brought her son and his girlfriend and was excited to see the fourth installment of Toy Story.
Winland enjoys the business relationship that she shares with UnitedHealthcare and noted that their employees are happy with their medical plans. Albaeese and UnitedHealthcare have a long history of partnership, so Winland has gotten to know the insurance company well. Winland said that it was fun to see everyone outside of a business setting.
“Tonight is a chance to get together on a more personal basis,” Winland said. “It’s nice to bring our families together and I look forward to more outings in the future.”
Mike Morris, Vice President of Account Management of UnitedHealthcare for NWI and the Greater Chicagoland Area, brought his son Graham to the movie. Morris was pleased with the turnout because it was a chance for him to build upon his relationships with clients. Morris said the customers in attendance were mostly small businesses from Northwest Indiana, and sharing a summertime movie was a way UnitedHealthcare could give back and show appreciation.
“We were looking for a way to connect with our customers, especially with their families,” Morris said. “I love the fact that they came out to spend time with us.”
