South Bend Schools Achieve Outstanding Recognition in Statewide Media Competition

The Broadcast Media & Film program within the South Bend Community School Corporation’s Career & Technical Education Department proudly announces its impressive achievements at the 2025 Indiana Association of School Broadcasters (IASB) competition.

For the sixth consecutive year, our student media team has been honored as 1st Runner-Up for both "News Media School of the Year" and "Video School of the Year." This year, South Bend Schools received a record total of 21 awards and honorable mentions, showcasing the exceptional talent and dedication of our students. The rankings were determined by accumulated points based on student placements across various competition categories.

A total of 41 Indiana high schools submitted over 650 entries across 44 categories, judged by professionals from the media production and broadcasting fields.

The IASB is committed to promoting professional excellence and student achievement in media education, supporting secondary and post-secondary institutions engaged in electronic media programs.
