Shrewsberry lost for the season with an injury
CLEMSON, S.C. – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish couldn’t overcome a second-half surge by #13/14 Clemson, falling 83-68 at Littlejohn Coliseum. Markus Burton poured in a game high 30 points, but Notre Dame (12-16, 6-11 ACC) struggled to keep pace with the Tigers’ efficient offense. Clemson (23-5, 15-2) used a well-balanced attack and dominant ball movement (23 assists) to secure a key conference victory.
In the game, Markus Burton went over the 1,000-point mark to become the seventh fastest Fighting Irish player to do so.
The Irish also played without sophomore Braeden Shrewsberry, who is out for the remainder of the season with an abdominal injury, and Matt Allocco with a wrist injury.
