Mayor Dave Wood’s 14th Youth Advisory Council Sworn In at September 9th Common Council Meeting

The City of Mishawaka is proud to announce that the 14th class of the Mayor Dave Wood Youth Advisory Council was officially sworn in at the Mishawaka Common Council meeting on Monday, September 9th. This year’s council is composed of an exceptional group of high school students who have demonstrated leadership, academic excellence, and a passion for serving their community.

The Youth Advisory Council provides these young leaders with a unique opportunity to participate in local government, develop leadership skills, and work alongside city officials to address issues that impact our youth. Over the course of the year, they will provide input on policies, help shape community initiatives, and represent the voices of Mishawaka’s younger generation.

The Mayor couldn’t be prouder of this group. Their enthusiasm, fresh perspectives, and dedication are exactly what our city needs to continue thriving. These young people will make a difference not only in their schools but also throughout the Mishawaka community.

We look forward to working with them as they learn more about civic engagement and help contribute to the bright future of our Princess City.
