Notre Dame linebacker Jack Kiser and tight end Davis Sherwood have been named 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, recognizing their excellence on the field and in the classroom. Kiser is also a finalist for CSC Academic All-America, with results to be announced on January 28, 2025.
Kiser, a team captain, has played a record 68 games for Notre Dame, totaling 260 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and four interceptions. He led the Irish in 2024 with 75 tackles. A standout in academics, Kiser earned two degrees with a 3.82 GPA in business analytics and 3.97 GPA in accountancy. He also received the Dean’s Graduate Business Award and has led key community initiatives like Cleats For a Cause.
Sherwood, with a 3.9 GPA in science-business on a pre-dental track, has appeared in 51 games. In 2024, he was named a Military Bowl STEM Scholar-Athlete and contributed to Notre Dame’s top-ranked special teams’ unit. He has also engaged in extensive service, including dental care for underserved populations and volunteering with Uplifting Athletes and local charities.
Kiser and Sherwood exemplify Notre Dame’s tradition of academic and athletic excellence.
