Career Academy High School proudly announces that senior track standout Jace Woods has officially committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Bethel University.
Jace has been a dual-sport athlete for Career Academy, competing in basketball and track. His passion and talent for sprinting became evident during his junior year when he placed third overall in the 100-meter dash at the highly competitive Penn Sectional meet, clocking an impressive 11.23 seconds. That performance earned him a berth at the regional level and made him one to watch in his senior season.
During the 2024-25 indoor track season, Jace took his performance to new heights. He qualified for the Indoor State Championships in the 60-meter dash—hosted by none other than Bethel University—by posting a blazing 7.00. Not only did he qualify, but Jace won the 60-meter dash, capturing the first-ever state title in Career Academy history.
In a post-race interview with MileSplit, Jace humbly credited his success to the support of his coach, Cameron Mester. “If it weren’t for my coach taking time during the summer to get me faster and better, I wouldn’t be in this position,” Jace said.
Jace’s commitment to Bethel University is a testament to his hard work, discipline, and determination. The Career Academy community could not be prouder of his accomplishments and looks forward to watching him excel at the next level.
Congratulations, Jace! Once a Trailblazer, always a Trailblazer.
